Left behind for a purpose

Left Behind for a Purpose

Do the prayers of Jesus Christ refute our modern day Christian escapism called ‘left behind’?
(Isa 55:11)  So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
God’s spoken words always accomplish their intended purpose as Genesis testifies in the six days of creation.  God spoke creation followed.
Rapture theology is the notion that there is a future circumstance coming which are so horrible that Christians will be taken from the earth to avoid the unpleasantness which follows. Everyone ‘left behind’ on the earth will have to suffer. Tough nuts.
Jesus spoke two major prayers in the New Testament, which I believe will refute that idea.  In (Matthew 6:9-10), In this manner, therefore, pray: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In this prayer, known as the Lord’s Prayer, Jesus (who is God) is praying for the Kingdom of God to come to earth.  God Word is God’s will. God’s will and word cannot help being accomplished:  Heaven coming to earth. Therefore, if Isaiah 55:11 is true the Kingdom of God is coming to earth.
In other passages, He said it would grow like a mustard seed until it did cover the earth.  God’s plan for the future is Habakkuk 2:14 for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.
The spoken word, which will be accomplished, and is being accomplished, is God’s kingdom coming, not God’s people going.
(Joh 17:15-18)  I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. (Avoiding the evil one is the reason we are left behind) They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. Sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth. As you sent In the Garden of Gethsemane, the night before Jesus was crucified, He prayed that his disciples would be sent into the world and be kept from the evil one. As you sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

Jesus followers then and now are sent into the world not promised to be taken from the world.  This is the exact opposite of the ‘left behind’ fantasies. The purpose we are left behind is to advance the Kingdom of God with the only power available to save Mens’ souls, the Gospel.
